If you are using the MessageMedia portal on a pre-paid basis, you will need to top-up your balance from time to time in order to continue sending messages. You can also set alerts to notify you when your account reaches a certain level, as well as setting up automated top-ups to prevent you from running out of credit.
The “Top Up” button always sits at the top of the page, no matter what screen you are currently viewing.
Click the Top Up button to start:
The first time you top up, you will need to add a payment method in the form of a credit or debit card.
Enter the card details and click “Add Card”:
Next, add the amount by which you would like to top up your account:
If you just want to top up your account this once, click “Top up”
You can set up an alert to notify you when your balance drops to a nominated amount. Do this by ticking the “Send a balance notification” and enter the amount at which you want to receive the notification:
When your balance drops to this amount, you will now receive an email that looks like this:
Setting an Automatic Top-up
You can set up an automatic top-up, so that you don’t get caught out by running out of credit when you need it most.
To do this, click the tick-box next to “Automatic top up”:
You will then need to set the threshold at which the automatic top-up will be triggered, followed by the amount by which you wish to automatically top-up the account:
The next time you click on the “Top-up” button, you will see a slightly different window, as you have already entered your payment method details:
Just enter the top-up amount in the field provided and click “Top Up”
You can alter your settings any time by clicking on “Account” in the left-hand menu, and then “Billing”:
Then, just click “Edit” in the top right of the “Subscription Details” box:
Here, you can change your Balance Notification settings, as well as your Automatic Top-up settings.
